From private cheffing a dinner party to attending the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, this week has been WILD!
You might remember that I worked on promoting the Coronation Quiche last year. Well, as a thank you from the Royals and their PR team, I got invited to one of the four garden parties at Buckingham Palace this year (pinch me!!!). The day was absolutely gorgeous, even though it was very, very wet (at least the ducks in the pond enjoyed it). We were surrounded by delicious sandwiches, mini tarts, and quiches, all amidst immaculately dressed crowds adorned with bright hair fascinators and elegant tailcoats.
We arrived around 3 PM, and at 4 PM, the Royal Family made their grand appearance. It was so surreal to see Prince William, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, and Zara Tindall (albeit through a sea of umbrellas). The rain didn’t stop the whole time we were there, which just added to the whole British charm of the day. Luckily, I only had to travel 30 minutes on the tube, but I couldn’t help but feel bad for the people who traveled for hours and ended up completely soaked. I hope they still had an amazing day despite the rain!
Soppy note: experiencing moments like these is a once-in-a-lifetime gig that I wouldn't be living if it weren't for your support. So, once again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!!!

A Little Video
I came back from Greece the week before last; a dreamy and relaxing few days full of tzatziki, spanakopita and gyros. I made a little YouTube video about it, so check it out below if you fancy! (I’d be so grateful if you could hit the subscribe and like button too!!).
The Recipe Round Up
Cheat Arepas - Traditional South American arepas are made with ground maize, however for this recipe you only need two accessible ingredients for the dough and it is so delicious. These arepas are inspired by the Venezuelan's version, Reina Pepiada. The filling consists of shredded chicken, avocado, red onion, chillies, lime, and coriander. They're so fresh and tasty, I think you're going to love them!
Greek Meatballs (Keftedes) - These are my Greek Meatballs aka Keftedes and they are such a great dish to make on a summer's day. They come together in less than 30 minutes and are a combination of ground meat, feta, mint, parsley, garlic, and a handful of other ingredients. The Greek meatballs are then placed on top of homemade feta tzatzikiand drizzled with lemon, dill, and fresh mint.
That’s it for this week my friend! I hope you have a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend full of food (as always)!
I’ll see you next week!
Em xx
