I love how in my previous newsletter, I was complaining about the weather…WELL, the weather gods clearly heard me because it’s been GORGEOUS in the UK this week.
Hello and happy Friday my darling reader. I hope you’ve had a glorious week so far and are ready for the weekend. What’s it going to be? A BBQ with family? Picnic with friends? Solo date to an alfresco bar? Or peacefully reading a book on your balcony (or by an open window)? Me you ask? I’ll be heading to Pub in the Park this evening and strolling around sunny London tomorrow devouring multiple pastries, coffees, and nibble bits I find along the way!
I’m currently discussing plans to host a Q&A session for my new cookbook at a bookshop in Balham called Backstory after publication!! It would be such a fantastic way to meet some of you in person and also give you the opportunity to ask me anything and everything about dumplings!! I’ll keep you updated on a date and time!!
If you haven’t yet bought it, what are you waiting for?! Tap below to buy the book! Thank you x
New YouTube Video!
Last time, I told you all about my evening at the Guild of Food Writers Awards! Well, now you can watch the video and be all nosy and see what we got up to!!!
Recipe Round Up
CRUNCHY CHICKEN ROMESCO SANDWICH - This is my Crunchy Chicken Romesco Sandwich and it's the best summer focaccia sandwich I've ever made. Filled with a garlic parsley butter, grated parmesan cheese, a super simple homemade romesco sauce, crunchy panko chicken, and a gorgeous lightly dressed salad, I think you’re gonna love it.Â
THE BEST HAMBURGER PATTY RECIPE - This is my mother's Hamburger Patty recipe and it's a real crowd-pleaser. All you need is some ground beef, egg, white onion, panko breadcrumbs, and a few pantry sauces for extra flavour, and you've got yourself the juiciest, most flavourful hamburger patty ever. It's a bold claim, but I truly believe you'll never use another recipe for a homemade hamburger patty.
CHICKEN PICATTA - This Chicken Piccata recipe is zingy and delicious. Picture a silky lemon, capers, and butter sauce, with a little bit of chicken stock and parmesan all soaked into succulent pieces of fried chicken cutlets. It's incredible served with pasta, rice, or salad. I really hope you enjoy the recipe!
Thank you for your endless support!!! Happy cooking and see you next week!!
Lots of love,
Em xx
